The winners of the August draw of the Happy Hearts Foundation Fund

Hi All

Further to my last e-mail the winners of the August draw of the Happy Hearts Foundation Fund are as follows:

First £50 Trevor Batchelor Salisbury Ticket 316

Second £30 Peter Murchison Salisbury Ticket 270

Third £20 Ray Whitford Salisbury Ticket 267

Congratulations to the winners and your money is on its way to you.

Please remember the draw at the end of September will be doubled, so the three prizes will be: £100/ £60/ £40. This is in acknowledgement of the support shown by our members during these difficult last few months. It really is very much appreciated.

If you’d like to join The Happy Hearts Foundation Fund and have a chance to win a little bit of extra cash each month please let Malcolm Hurley know on 07961072424 or e mail

As mentioned in my last e-mail we are starting a Back Care Strengthen and Stretch class in September. This has now been arranged and classes will be held on Monday evenings at 5pm, starting on Monday 11th September . Zoom code for these classes remains the same as all other classes. Please note this is primarily a floor based class. Places are still available so let us know if you are interested. If you are new to zoom, let me know and I’ll forward all the details.
As you are aware, it may be some time yet before we can get back to normal classes, so we will have to continue on Zoom. This is proving very popular with a lot of our members, but would like to see a few more of you.
We would be most grateful if could give us some feedback. Firstly your views on the zoom classes that you attend and secondly if you haven’t joined us yet on zoom, we would be grateful to know why. Your views and comments would be very much appreciated and be used to improve our services. Positive comments may be used for advertising and publicity
Lastly, there is an opportunity to help the BHF to help shape a research trial.
Researchers at Lincolnshire Heart Centre are looking for people to help them with their research on the impact of Beta Blockers post-Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). They are looking for people who have recently suffered an ACS to help advise on their trial production, design and methodology. Participants would be invited to complete a questionnaire on their personal opinions and experiences. If you are interested in getting involved please email Joanne Denman expressing your interest, how you heard about the opportunity and providing a bit of background about yourself. You can email her at
Once again many thanks for your continued support
Take care, keep fit, well and safe
All our best wishes
Salli, Geoff and Nigel
