Shaftesbury has allowed us to return but with minimal people, but STRICT RULES WILL APPLY

Hi All
We hope you are all well and keeping fit. These difficult times, unfortunately, are still with us and it looks like they may be with us for some time to come yet. We are sure that if we stick to the rules we’ll get through this okay. We are all good and glad to report that the zoom classes are growing steadily.
Even though the new ‘rule of 6’ has come into force, the government have allowed gyms and exercise classes to resume. Unfortunately, as explained before, most venues can’t accommodate us and it is just not cost effective.
However, now the good news, The Youth Club at Shaftesbury has allowed us to return but with minimal people. It is therefore intended that we run a class there from the beginning of October.
Please don’t get too excited though, as we will only be able to admit a minimal number of people, with strict social distancing rules, within the government guide lines.
The class will only be open to members that have not been able to join us on zoom. It really will be a beginners’ class for those of you that have done little or no exercise over the last few months.
Attendees will be selected on a first come first served basis, so if you would like to attend please let us know asap.
STRICT RULES WILL APPLY
The Youth club will open its doors approx. 10 mins before start time. Please note there will be no lounge area for socialising.
The doors must be shut at the start of the session, so therefore we cannot admit late comers.
On entry you will be directed to your station, where you will be asked to remain until the end
On completion you will be asked to leave directly maintaining a social distance.
You will need to bring your own water/refreshment
You can bring your own weights, although we will supply clean weights that you can borrow and bring with you each week.
It will not be a circuit based class that you are used to, but you will have to stay at one station for the whole of the class.
Cost of class will be £30 per person or £50 per couple per calendar month payable in advance by BACs or cheque. Unfortunately, cash is no longer acceptable. (We regret the increase in price but this is to cover the venue with reduced numbers)
If enough members are interested we will commence the class on Friday 02 October 2020 at 11.00 am
Any questions please get in touch. We understand this may be difficult, but we are doing our best to get things going again.
Remember you can still join us on zoom if you haven’t done so already. You can do it in the comfort of your own home. No going out in the rain or cold on a dark winters’ night. Cost of Zoom classes will remain at the present rate
If you haven’t joined us yet on zoom and would like to, please let us know and we’ll forward all the details.
Please take care, stay safe and well. We are still united in keeping you fit and healthy until we can get back to the new normal
All our very best wishes
Salli, Geoff and Nigel
